Default Must sees between CA and CO

I'm heading on a road trip from SO CA up the 15 to either the 70 or hwy 80 and ending up in Fort Collins CO. Anyone have any suggestions on stops I should make in between?

McDonalds for breakfast. Several of us on Lat G own the stock.

Take the long way and make Watson put DG's motor on the dyno.

Hmm...

I-80 goes by Wendover (former air base for atomic bomb drop training flights) and the Bonneville Salt Flats. Otherwise it is rather uneventful...and windy. The wind on I-80 through Wyoming is crazy. Lots of trucks on this route as well. Nothing spectacular to see through most of it. Highest elevation is around 7500'.

I-15 to I-70 is probably a lot more scenic. It does go by Vegas and travels up the Salt Lake Valley a ways before heading east. Eastern Utah on I-70 looks like a moonscape with some pretty stunning desert vista and the longest (180 miles) stretch of Interstate without services. Moab may make nice few hour detour. Once in Colorado, it heads headlong into the Rockies and demos some pretty amazing engineering along Glenwood Canyon and the Eisenhower tunnel. Peak elevation will be around 13,000 ft and you'll drive by such famous ski resorts as Vail, Copper Mtn, and Loveland in addition to a host of victorian era mining towns.

I would if DG had a motor. I guess we could bolt the block up to the dyno for kicks

Accelerating is optional...........stopping is mandatory. Your car WILL stop one way or another.
