Default 70 chevelle wheel combo...thoughts

Hey all,

I found a set of Ronal LZ 20x10 and 19x10s 2 (piece rims) locally brand new in box for a C5. The owner has stated that the backspacing is 7.25" he is selling them for $600.00. I am thinking of having the offset changed to a "Chevelle offset"/backspacing which can be done locally for $75.00 each.

So in the rear i know the 20x10s ill need a 5.5" backspacing and the fronts i am assuming 5.5-6.5" of backspacing BUT will i have problems with a 10" wide wheel upfront?

Should i look into cutting the wheel down to 8" wide while doing the offset change?

Then powdercoat and refinish the wheel for about $500.

This may seem like a weird way about going to custom wheels but going with Rushmorth or something similar is just way out of budget.

The car wont be needed wheels till fall so should i wait it out and find another wheel that will work used or something else?

My plans for the car will be QA1's coilovers all around and C6 or CTS V brakes all around.

any input is appreciated.

I think you will be cool with a 19x10 up front as long as you don't plan on lowering the car too much. Also, depends on the size tire you run as well.
