It has more to do with quantity then the actual product. When I'm calling to order just a small number of these at a time. Say less then 20, they have much bigger fish to fry then deal with me. The guy buying 1000's of these for aircraft are the guys they want to talk to. Not some stupid hot rod builder.
So here is what I have.
I like the 26 and 18 pin connectors. Not too big and not some huge bundle of wires on the firewall all coming out of one plug. I also like the back shells and it gives the connecters some stability and looks good.
From left to right you have -
- a 90 degree back shell used on the firewall side to keep the wires close to the firewall.
- 26 pin plug
-26 pin receptacle
- straight back shell
No you can interchange the backshells depending on you particular layout.
You can get each complete assembly in 18 or 26 pin for right about 100 bucks each. They will be on our website soon.
