Thumbs up Some vendor feedback on Dailey dry sumps

I did a lot of research looking for a dry sump system for my Ford FE. Surprisingly there are a few options for my old Dinosaur.

Dailey engineering became my choice for a couple reasons.

http://www.daileyengineering.com/dai...ering_home.htm

One was the 1.8" pan depth.
Second was the integrated pump/pan design requiring no external plumbing for the scavenging system.
Third well the billet pan is bling no doubt (also light)

The overriding thing and I use this when deciding to work with any vendor was Bill Dailey's willingness to take time to discuss my intended use and his product.

Bill is very proud of his stuff, how well it works and definitely gives off a vibe of ego. But he is always happy to walk you through set up and technical questions.

When we were getting ready to fire up my motor last Sat morning a couple questions came to mind so I called Bill's shop. He answered the phone and walked me through my last min set up questions. As he was hanging up he said "I'll be here a couple more hours today, if you need any thing else just call"

That is the owner/designer not just some PR rep. He build stuff for a lot of high $$ teams but has never hesitated to take time to walk my dumb A$$ through questions about what I bought from him.

When the pan and pump arrived at RS for them to mock it up Phil Gerber was impressed with the craftsmanship, that should say something about the level of detail he puts into his stuff.

The system worked flawlessly on the dyno and should ensure proper oiling in any condition on the track.

If you are looking into a new dry sump system I would say call Bill.
