Default Not your typical builds.

It was suggested that I join this forum by a member over at Pro-Touring.

My husband and myself are in the be gaining stages of planning two different builds.

The first build is a RCR40 MKII, this is a replica of the Ford GT40.
The car has a aluminum mono-coque tub and billet aluminum suspension components.

Our plan is to use MMR built 5.8L bored and stroked 4V mod motor, with a 4.2L liquid cooled supercharger with a custom Throttle body plenum to allow the TB to be mounted at the rear of the supercharger much like the ford GT's of the 90's. We are planning to use Avaid new billet aluminum dry-sump 4-stage oil pan and system. Along with a Griffen 6speed transaxle.

For the over design of the car we are planning to bring the classic body up todate, with a wide body rear fender kit from a another builder allowing a larger rear tire and wheel combo. We are also planning to add front fender flares to allow the same larger wheel package up front. Along with other changes we will go into as we progress with the project.

The second project is also from RCR, it is there Superlite Coupe supercar design.

The plan is using the same engine package, along with a 6speed sequential shifting transaxle and Motec ECU and ignition systems.

We are planning some several body mods along the way. The biggest will be a new roof-scoop cold air intake system.

I will be starting a build page for both projects in the near future, once we get a few more thing settled and ready to move forward with the builds.

Both cars will be built for the street with the ability to go run a few track days from time to time.

Welcome from Finland,

Your right, not so everyday projects you got there.

4.2L LQ Kenny on 5.8L engine, or how it will be? Will be enough big for sure.

I build one with 572 Hemi, also with direct fit throttle body.

Take a look:

Post on project section when you get started..

I'll start my own hopefully also: 4.2L LQ on 8.3L Viper motor
