It is definitely "secure" but one complaint that is not uncommon is the dispute resolution is questionable if something comes up.

I would take a paypal payment as a deposit (have sent this way and received this way personally) but on a larger purchase like a car I would insist on a bank wire or cash.

THANKS you guys!!! It is amazing how many people are wanting to buy it without coming to look at it. I personally would want to look at something before I sent $.

I've been finding the same thing with mine. I wish they would come see it.

So do I....I just received 2 e-mails from different people saying they were Oceanographers and couldn't see the car in person due to that, but wanted a paypal account to send $ to and an address to have car picked up at. Very peculiar.

Becareful that there are no fees incured by you for using the paypal account. Not sure which direction fees are charged maybe both. Could be a lot of money.

Just sold a car, what a pain in the a$$ dealing with people all over the world, most people I delt with wanted me to take near 100 shots of the underneath of the car and all around. Have to admit if you dont sell the car through ebay, it is an awesome advertising mechanism. Chances are someone local to you guys may be in the market for a car and looking on ebay.

If I have to do it again, Im just gonna give it away

Yep, that's a scam. I'm talking about actual buyers making offers without personally seeing the car.

RUN RUN RUN

NO PAYPAL

If someone wants to buy something from you on Paypal and you ship it to them and they claim they never got it even with signature from USP they get their money back. Paypal needs to fix it policy’s as this stuff happens daily.

If someone wants to buy your car $500 deposit only the rest wire only that way you have the cash with no questions because if they dispute the charge they get the money back 10-10 times.

With all the scams going on its getting so bad for us businesses. We shipped a set of Door panels to a customer, HE SIGNED for them and then told the CC company that he never got them and the CC company contacted us. We sent over the signature from UPS stating that he signed for them at his front door at 3PM and they still took the money back from us. Nothing we can do about it we are still fighting it today and they told us don’t like it don’t use them.

IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT IS, there are more scamers right now then ever before so watch out.
