Very cool video. Nortech has had some cool boats over the years. Howard Arneson pioneered the use of turbines/surface drives. I have been involved with offshore boats, so it is fun to see what others are doing with turbines. The team ran APBA/SBI/OSS with turbines until they pretty much ruled the boat out of every competitive class. So, a switch to piston engines was necessary for offshore racing. The team still runs every summer at Lake Of The Ozarks with the turbines though.

Cool idea, I am pretty sure it wouldn't work well with my boating application, which is wakeboarding.

Man, I bet they are going ATLEAST 40 or 50 MPH. I think I would like the sound of the turbine more than anything. Oh yeah, check out the
OOO CRAP LOOK on the guys frace in the back. Cool clip.

Offshore boats are NUTS! I've been involved with them for quite some time and they never cease to amaze me. Turbines are definitely the future and really coming together now that they have prop brakes and crash boxes on them. There is a big nor-tech being built with a pair of T-58's currently that should run 200.

They have some pretty piston power too
