Anybody going to or running at the Mojave mile this weekend?

Big Red went 224 this morning on a shakedown run. I guess he ran 230+ yesterday.

Many 200+ mph runs this weekend.

234.4 best pass yesterday.

227.3 so far best pass today. Still more to go.

This is the 1.5 mile Mojave Magnum BTW.

i was out this morning and saw some runs including big red, had to leave early was getting to warm for me, cant wait til doc changes my meds

Yeah was warming up quickly when I left, at least the wind was no where near as bad as Saturday. The late Sept event is a good time of year for this type of event. Looking forward to it.

Well I went to the Mojave Magnum. Its was pretty cool. Got there late, Big Red was broke (throwout bearing). They shut the track off at 2:45. Big red only ran for some filming when I was there. That was my first time there. There was plenty to see, everybody was friendly. Think I'd like to go back in the fall with my car and try a mile. (not a mile and a half) and see if I got the stones to run it wide open for a mile. On the way home I was using my odometer in my truck to measure a mile. It sure seems like a long run. We'll see.
