Default Anvil Inner fender Question

I plan on purchasing a set of Anvil inner fenders..... Question! Are you guys still using the Factory inner fender brace that is attached on the lower end of the firewall were the cage nut is located? Are the braces necessary? The reason I ask, is that I'm almost done smoothing down my firewall and I want to eliminate the brace.

Thanks,Phillip

I shaved my brackets off and will be running Anvil fenders. You don't need those brackets.
