Oil filter comparison video

I have looked online but could not find any info or comparisons of the Fram HP series oil filters vs anything else. I had a couple laying around and decided to do one myself.

What about micron rating and flow rate? I like the metal end caps on the k&n.

Real men use real filters -- I run the PurePower cleanable billet versions in my cars... They actually FILTER the oil and have magnets in them.

The only thing that worries me about the K&N's is the lack of an anti drain back valve...but does that matter if the filter is mounted vertical??

Couple things: The fram has a bypass valve rated at 22 psi. I prefer no bypass on a high dollar performance engine. A bypass is important on a daily driver. When you are pushing it, you want to filter ALL your oil.

The k&n does have a anti drain back valve, higher burst pressure, and lower micron rating.

I have been running the Fram HP12 for some time now with no problems. I mainly used it b/c of the added oil capacity.

I will most likely go with the K&N 3002 from now on.
