Default 2010-2011 camaro dash in first gen?

Hey guys, I tried searching and found no info yet on if this has been done. I'm currently building a 69 pro touring camaro and I'm wanting to do a whole 5th gen interior. I measured both the 5th gen and first gen dash and they're the same width. I just want to know if anyone else has done it before I waste $$ on all these parts because they seem to be expensive.

Thanks,
Vinnie.

A quick search did not yield a result, so my guess is that yes, you would be the first to do it. Good luck.

DSE is building one right now.
It is more custom than camaro, but uses the camaro clusters

Go to DSEs webite & look under projects.
The one with the dash is Randy Fricke's 1969 Camaro.

Thanks guys but I seen the dse link and they made it out of aluminum....I'm looking to do the swap with an actual 5th gen dash. I agree anything custom is $$$$ lol.

Depth from the windshield to steering wheel will be the biggest problem, i have a Camaro dash and a first gen in shop now, Lots of cutting...Lots. Be easier to make one than adapt it. What DSE did is really nice!!

Its not going to be a plug and play. There will be some mods you have to make. I saw the dash in person at DSE on Saturday and it is cool. Good luck with it.
