Default ATS/Speedtech M/C bracket for 2nd gens?

Speedtech purchasing rights to some ATS items sells the ATS firewall master cyl bracket for 1st gens and 2nd gens.

ats080002 & 0800016 RESPECTIVELY.

Then question is do the 2nd gen units fit. they were always up to 74 and nothing for 75-81 although the firewalls looked the same.

At the time ATS did not have one for a 78 t/a thus I made one myself . the initial trial / template one is in grey in the pictures. the one next to it is stated to be for up to 74 f body cars. Purchased from a PT member. No issue w/ purchase, however, notice the difference in bend angle. The grey one fits flush against the firewall as it should whereas the black one sticks out a good 1" or so. I dont know about camaro's although they should be the same, but the firebird firewalls from 70-81 are about the same . at least the 12 I have in my possession are.

Considering the time it took to make the one for my 78 bird using thicker metal than the trial one, I would like to purchase another one IF it will fit like it should and not have that huge bend angle. if not , I will be forced to make a few. I could most likely straighten the bend but would rather have one that fits fine w/o additional work.

Any one have any input on this? Vendors??
