We can build up to 19x8 front and 20x10 rear. If you want to stick to 17" diameter than 17x8 front, and 17x10 rear would fit perfectly.

Your widths look ok but your backspacing numbers are a little outta whack. A 17x8 on that car needs around 4.5" to 5" backspacing. Zero offset is around 4.5". On the rear,17x9.5 wheel will need around 5.5" backspacing. Zero offset is approx 5.25" but 5.5" is easier to get most of the time. 6" would be a little excessive for a 17x9.5 rear,IMO.
Oh yeah, you said you wanted the largest 17" rims and tires, didn't you? In that case, try some 17x9.5 fronts with 5.75" backspace and some 17x11 rears with 6.25". For tires, try some 275/40/17 fronts and 315/35/17's.
If you want a little more info, check out the Tire & Wheel database over at Team Chevelle. http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33229

Default Again,,thanks

hey, again I thank you, Heres the total picture. Right now the car has the 15/8s on the rear,,,that bs is 4.5,,my mistake,,,,, anyway. I got a set of 15/10 4.5 bs,with a 305 tires from a 442,70 , what do I have to do to make these work,I havent tried to mount anything yet,its cold in ny . I thought that I would use the rears thats on the car now,15/8,with something like a 235/60 or 50 tire in the front and a 275 or 285.50 or 60 in the rears with those tens . Now,just short of eating a great deal, assuning I can use them,,,,whats next.. And please,,,,, please,,,dont say anything negative, remember,I have been without my car all winter.. thanks and I have three young guns to support, with their cars and dreams
