Default ls1 in classic mustang??

Ok some of you have noticed ive been quiet for a while.. rebuilding my home, changing job and girlfriend have taken some energy.. but im back in the water...

I have a half finished (budywork done ready for paint, with all parts in house) 1965 mustang i started "restomodding" 12 years ago... it got a then brand new 1993 5.0/t5 combo..

well im now ready to finish it.. and i have some parts "left over" among other heads and cam 530+ hp 02 LS6+paddleshifted 4l60e and stainless headers.. so im looking at the two and thinking to my self.. why not...

it looks to be easily fitable size wise and it should shave alittle weight to boot.

any inputs ?? and please none of those purist remarks it is after all a forum for modifying perfectly good classics...

I have thought of doing the same thing, it works very well and is very popular for the fox body mustangs.

I pretty much figured that.... when we saw his "shop" and the work he was doing.... Well.... don't even get me started.

He was welding up exhaust with a stick welder....

Sorry to hear that didn't work out.

His welding wasn't the only problem? I still have nightmares of when we visited that shop. I took an extra long shower that day, I just felt I couldn't get clean.

What?? Old man Cooter didn't do a good job?

I still laugh at their expression when they saw the suspension we dropped off... Priceless

And the exhaust transition.... 2.5 inch pipe to 3 inch... Gap filled with booger welds... Beautiful
