It depends on what bent the rod, probably hydro-locked it in which case if the rod didn't make contact with the block or anything it should be fine. You'd need a rod, bearing and probably a piston. Try to find out how the rod got bent, that is the key.
I have the same tranny from a '05 GTO, it's a T56 6 spd
Depending on what bent the rod I would give him $1k for it.
