Default Half height body bushings

I'm planning on installing a DSE subframe and using a t56 magnum in my 68 Camaro. What are the pros and cons of half height body bushings versus stock height?

Thanks for your opinions

I'll start off by saying my perspective is from an A-body and not an F-body. So, I'm guessing YMMV - significantly. I'll let the guys with the little toy cars speak about F-body cars.

That was a joke - just to be clear.

For my application, half height body bushings would have created some real problems. Using full height poly bushings, I've already run into clearance issues for my 1/2" stainless fuel lines, and for the upper shock mounts for my Varishocks. I was certainly able to work around them and it is not anyones fault- just a fact. But, if I had half height bushings I don't believe I could have even mounted my rear shocks without lifting the body, and I know my fuel lines would have needed to be rerouted. Also, it would have made the job of building a removable 4 point cage much more difficult.

I would think that a Unibody car might be a very different discussion altogether.

The biggest problem is the t56 mag to tunnel clearance. There are other inherit problems I could list later.

Concerning a first gen F-body, the tunnel is supposed to clear if you have the regular height bushing, right?
