Default project * GAME OVER * daily driv'n HARD !

Flashback, last year about christmas. Winter boredom is at an all time high,so off to best buy I go to cure this, in a driver simulation game sort of way and someway to steer and stomp versus a joystick ( which I suck at,because I am over 45 and astroids was our last hoorah! ) So I end up spending about 450.00 dollars and get the basics for my goal...The goal being a game set-up that will allow me to grow my skills and get familiar with different roadcourse's around the west coast. I was not interested in shooting crap and running over more crap for points or jacking cop cars , I wanted to drive !
I bought a playstation III controller,Logitec Driving force feedback wheel and pedal system and a Logitech 5.1 140 watt surround sound system and headed home to race in front of the big screen....After unwrapping and realizing that they expect me to clamp all this to a table and try to get comfortable for a race , MY STUPID HOT RODDIN INSTINCT tells me to head to the shop for a better solution. It was three weeks later and probably 200 hours after work but I finally got to play it in a more fitting way ! ENJOY !!!

I ordered a seat from jeg's and the fun began, bent up some tubing and created a design that would be comfortable and awesome to look at in my LIVING ROOM..little did I know what fun this would be to build ! No rules !

After making all the panels I thought I would use this to try out some colors I've been wanting to use on my 99 Silverado as it is going through a P/T updated look..Let the paint fly !! I could have built a real car in all this time , Doh !

I like your obsession!

I have a Microsoft wheel sitting in the box because there is no convenient or proper mounting options with the current furniture inventory. Thanks for posting, this would make a great fabricating practice project.

Now thing's are begining to spiral out of control !! Cant just do something easy and when you realize your buried into a project with no good reason you either finish it or go straight to the dumpster with it..I now realize it is taking over my work week but I have to drive this stupid thing !!! Take pause I tell my self finish it now and move on ! Get the airbrush out as I am not afraid to use it when forced !

Ditch the play station and drive in a racing simulator.

Ok, I'm sure of two things here,
1.Travmon is having a serious amount of fun and I am jealous of this driving station.
2.He is not married. (I don't care how many coats of candy/carbon/whatever, my wife ain't letting this in the living room).
