Default So I spent the afternoon taking the seats...

and carpet out of the Roadrunner. Man on man Do I have alot of work to do. Whoever had the car before me got creative when they fixed the floors. The "new floors" are pop rivoted into the old ones and sealed with silicone. Ive got pictures if I ever find a place to host them.

That sucks we,ve all been there! Last weekend I started on some minor rust repair on my lower cowl area luckily it was virgin rust but it took 12hours to cut out the old and make new. Thats about 10 hours longer than expected!

At the winter holidays I threw out the carpet in my Malibu and I must say I was surprised that it wasn’t more to do. So I know exactly what you are talking about.

If you send them to me I can host them or you host them at

I had a 57 that the floor was repaired with a stop sign and both sides were fiberglassed from the toe kick to the rear seat.

Yeah, but a stop sign is aluminum, so that was a permanent fix. No more rust ever.

Heck, pop rivet metal would be heaven compared to what we found in our 67 Mustang. Newspaper and bondo thruought the entire car. Every time we go to cut a panel out the car catches on fire from the newspaper.
I would have even been happy with screen and bondo compared to this.
