Default Need WIIIIIDE tires for 18x14.5 rims.Help!

Hey guys, I'm looking for some wide tires to fit on 18x14.5 inch rims for my 69 Firebird project.I'd like to stay under 29 inches tall. I've checked few places ,so far no luck,no Hoosier,or M/T has anything, M/T Sportsman S/R 6685 are discontinued,I can get 6686's,but they are way too tall at 31 inches.

Any idea who might have something that will work?

Thanks

You can try a Mickey Thompson 3788R which is a 345/35/18 and probably ideal for an 18x13 but with the 35 series sidewall, can probably make up the difference of the 14.5 but as you're finding, you're kind of in no man's land for tire selections.

where did you hear they are discontinued ? They still show up on the MT website and it shows a few retailers having them. I'm building a project around a pair now- I've had them for a few years.

I called Mickey Thompson direct, also Summit and Jegs. Mind telling me which retailers have them in stock? M/T guy checked sales history and told me that they sold a pair yearly this year and the reason they discontinued is inactivity in sales.

right on the MT website it listed several places when you click "buy now"

http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/s...em=SportsmanSR

I don't know what I will do now when I wear this set out. That could take several years after the truck is running. or one big burnout.

LOL, I'd hope they last more than one burnout.

I'll give the other two places a call in the morning, thanks for giving me idea, hope one of them still has a pair or two.

I do have a set of the 29x18x18 SRs from M/T. Let me know if you want them and we can arrange delivery.
