Default 1966 Mustang Restomod

We are starting a new project. It is a nice 66 Mustang Coupe with a 289 and automatic. We will be adding Rod & Custom coilover front suspension, rear disc brakes, Procar Elite seats, Flaming river steering wheel and column, and steel style wheels with BFG tires. The owner bought it in 1980 and was painted and the engine rebuilt about 10 years ago.

Here is what we are starting with

We received a few parts before Christmas

The engine was removed today we are waiting for the new suspension to come in before we cut out the shock towers. Getting ready to order an Edelbrock intake and a set of headers.

Shock tower is out on the drivers side. Next step cut out off the strut and sway bar brackets and clean up the area.

Looking good so far. All those goodies should be a drastic improvement in how the car performs. Are you staying with the leaf rear and auto tranny?
