Default Billet hood hinges-are the all same?

I had allready decided not go with the flow and stick to stock hood hinges in my camaro.. but now i dont want risk my future paint with tight gaps on hood. So do i get rid of the side movement with billet hinges? And if so,are they all the same quality? Ring bros,Fessler and EMS ?

Fesler, Marquez, or Ring Bros. I have taken a lot of calls from customers who tried to save a few bucks with the EMS stuff and wanting to replace them. Take that as you will.

I have Fesler hinges om my Chevelle and they quality is top notch. I can't speak for the others but they look pretty similar in design. The thing I like about Fesler hinges is they have ball bearings in the pivot points.

Ahh, the infamous "SAVE A LITTLE NOW AND PAY ALOT MORE LATER" trick, huh. I have done that a time or two.

Fesler and Ring Brothers are very nice and good quality. Our customers usually choose Ring Brothers for the airframe design they have and Fesler on the plain ones. The one pro to Fesler is that they will open further than stock on their Camaro hinges. Personally I like both and use both in the shop.
