Default 1965 Biscayne

I bought this Biscayne some months back for a new project car. Turns out my wife doesn't share my same vision as she wants a Chevelle. I searched for a long time to find a builder Biscayne to do a 427 COPO deal with bones as good as this one. It's a 250 cid 6 cylinder and powerglide/10 bolt car. The engine and trans were suposed to have been rebuilt some years back. I can't verify that, but it's all pretty clean and runs and drives really nicely. Someone had also added a new radiator, fuel pump, water pump, rebuilt carb., and new battery. Aside from the damage on the left quarter, the body is in amazing shape. It does not need a left quarter, only about 12 -14 hours repair. The inner wheelhouse is still mint. The door, hood, and trunk lid gaps are near perfect. There is a baseball sized dent in the rear body panel. It has two paint jobs on it and no previous repairs. I took it to work and had the frame measured and it has never seen a substantial hit of any kind. The floors are all original and totally perfect as well as the trunk pans. The ONLY rust in the entire car is some very minor surface scale just starting in the right lower corner of the rear glass. It has some minor door dings, but nothing larger than a half hour dent. The interior is all original and pretty ratty. The dash is complete and the headliner bows are intact. It sat stored in a bodyshop for decades keeping it nice and dry. The grille is perfect as is most of the stainless. It's just an old green survivor car. Looking for $2900. Let me know if you have any questions- thanks, Dave Car is in Sacramento, CA.

sure- I'll post em up as soon as I can. I posted the pics of the trunk and floor pans. I'll have to get it in the air to get full shots of the belly.

lastly the overall pic:

As you can see an old mist from an oil/trans leak kept the floors lubed up. The car has sat in storage for decades until I pulled it out and got it running. I've been driving it more and more and it seems to be getting better. I bought it because it was the most solid Biscayne I could find. Sorry to see it go. Thanks, Dave

How drivable do you think it is? As in capable of a cross country trip?

I think the drivetrain is up to it for sure. It runs perfectly. The car needs some time spent getting the lights all working correctly. It's all original under the dash, but the guy I bought it from had started to rewire it and subsequently disconnected some of the lights and switches.
