Default 2 projects, need to choose 1.. help

Hey guys.. ive completet the 79 malibu and put quite a bit of miles on it.. and ive been temptet to tear into it again on several occations, so ive decided to go with another project..

i have two on hand, one is a clean survivor 68 nova.. basic model, 307 powerglide, manual brakes and steering, manual windows.. no rust in original dull blue paint...

the other is a 79 trans am ws6 with 400 and a 4 speed in dull original gold paint...

I still have the ls6/4l60e combo destines for the bu complete with heads, cam, paddleshifter, vintage air etc.. and a set of forgeline wc3 in 18x8.5/9,5 along with a lee 12:1 box and a hydraboost..

Both people are willing to trade and id be willing to do so as well... my question is... what to do.. 68 nova, cool, 100% pt worthy but the handling capability is less than that of the bird... (just ask mary pozzi about close to stock 2. nd gens)

or the bird.. heavier, bigger.. and more mid life chrisis like.. (no offence) but it has discs, better handling and will handle better much better when completed (and go faster :-) ).. o have about 6500 bucks to spend on suspension, and brakes.. so a full DSE with 14 inch bears is out of the question

I voted nova simply because I'm partial to them. I do like both. Good luck with either one.

A 78 bird loaded with ^his stuff is something to be reckoned with.

The firebird is an american legend. Im not saying that a Nova wouldnt be cool, but were comparing apples and tomatoes here.

I'd go with the Nova all the way. Now if the Firebird was an earlier second gen, then........................

That's a tough one because both cars have huge potential and you make great points but if the Firebird has T-Tops, I wouldn't give it a second thought and go straight out and get the Nova. If it's a hardtop like the one posted above, I may have to flip a coin. Good luck and let us know what you do.
