Default Lsx Tahoe

Hi guys!

Have anyone of you put in a LSX engine in a 92-99 Tahoe?

I like the idea for a daily driver.

Thanks,

Alex

They've put them in just about everything else including Civics so I don't see why not. The place to find it would be the Hybrid/Swap section on LS1Tech.com

Use "search" before you post your question so you don't get flamed. They aren't as friendly as we are.

It's a pretty straight forward swap, and fun to do.
Here are a few other sites you may check out for specific details about a swap into that chassis.

I have done an ls1 in a 92 truck. It is very easy in a 2wd, you can use a f-body oil pan with street & performance brackets. I also used f-body accessory drive with street & performance a/c compressor relocator, although I would suugest someone else on that because I had to do multiple modifications to make the belt line up. Schoenfeld makes a nice set of headers that will work if you have a 2wd( not sure if they fit a 4wd), i actually used 99 f-body exhaust manifolds that fit great. The trans crossmember fits great with just a little elongation of the trans mount hole. I also used the stock driveshaft. Good luck. If you need any help, let me know, I will try and give as much help as you need. As Rhino said Ls1 truck is a great source of info, they helped me with a couple of my little problems.
