Default Transmission Noise

I have a TK0600 that when shutting the car off, in neutral makes a sound as if there is loose spring or something in the transmission. IF i press the clutch in the sound goes away. Is this something in the trans? clutch? My 1st thing i was going to check was the clutch linkage and return springs on the the pedals but did not know if any one had experience this with the tremec.
Thanks
Bulldog

Possible broken spring on the clutch disk, or bad throwout bearing

throw out bearing will make a noise when the clutch pedal is mashed( more of a metal on metal sound). more than likely you have a bad pressure plate

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to pull it apart this weekend and see what's going on.

Yeah, or your clutch isn't torqued down correctly. That rattling sound is more than likely the pressure plate. That's why when you mash the pedal, hence taking the PRESSURE off of the plate it stops.

C5 Z06 corvettes and the 04-05 CTS-V's do the same thing. unless it just started doing it out of the blue and not from day 1 its just the nature of the beast
