Default 1969 Firebird, Project: WickedBird For Sale

Unfortunately, due to a pending divorce my project of over 4 years is reluctantly up for sale. This car basically represents a completely new ’69 Firebird (including new body shell) with a completely updated suspension and driveline (the engine is a carb’d 455). The build is completely documented with over 500 photo’s at: www.69firebirdbuild.com . The list of major components listed below is extensive, but does not represent everything included. I have a complete binder full of receipts that total just over $57,000 and another $15,000 in receipts that came with the car when I bought it in 2006 in a project state. I cannot begin to calculate the number of hours poured into this car.

Body
  • Complete body shell rebuilt by Musclecar Metal – all new metal
  • OEM fenders
  • The body has been final painted underneath, trunk and jambed
  • New complete smoke glass set
  • ’69 Trans Am fiberglass kit (hood, fender extractors, and rear spoiler)
  • Billet marquez tail lights
  • Billet door jamb vents/pins
Suspension
  • Speedtech subframe with rack and pinion steering
  • Global west upper and lower control arms with coil over shocks
  • Detroit Speed rear leaf kit. 3” lowering springs with Koni shocks
  • Custom 18” Bonspeed Huntington wheels, fat lip, black Centers, & brushed lip
  • Front: 18x8 with 4.75” backspace
  • Rear: 18x9 with 3.75” backspace
  • Tires: Goodyear F1s 275/40/18 and 235/40/18
Engine
  • Balanced and blue printed Pontiac 455 (+.030) with Edlebrock aluminum heads - custom ported
  • Complete March pulley kit
  • Custom built Holley carb
  • Custom built stainless headers
  • 9.5:1 Compression
  • Crane Custom Roller Cam – 230-236 (@.050”) -114 L/S
  • Crane Roller Lifters
  • Cometic Head Gaskets
  • KauffmanValleyTray
  • BHJ SFI Steel Harmonic Damper
  • Torker II Intake (HPC Coated)
  • Pistons/Rebuilt Rods w/ARP Bolts
  • ARP Bolts and Studs throughout
  • BOP Rear Main Seal
  • Flowcooler Water Pump
  • 1.65 Harland Sharp Roller Rockers
  • MSD Billet Distributor and Coil
  • CantonOil Pan
  • LakewoodScatter Shield
  • Aluminum SFI Hays Flywheel
  • Robbmc mechanical fuel pump
  • I have a video of the engine running on an engine stand
Driveline
  • TKO600 transmission
  • Wilwood disc brakes front and back
  • Hydraulic clutch kit
  • Aluminum drive shaft
  • Ford 9” rearend with Detroit Locker nodular center & new 31 spline Moser axles
  • Sumped Rick’s stainless gas tank
  • Completely plumbed AN fuel line
  • Complete stainless brake lines
  • Global West subframe connectors
Interior
  • Complete Dynomat covered
  • The interior is all new. All new dash pad, headliner, and carpet, and rear quarter panels. Original dash and console.
  • Procar front seats with matching rear seat cover professionally installed.
  • Chrome tilt steering column by ididit
  • Billet steering wheel
  • Simpson cam lock racing seat belts
  • Stacked in-dash gauges
  • Autosound in-dash stereo with front center speaker and rear 6x9s
Wiring
  • All 3 harnesses replaced with new American Autowire complete custom kit
  • Rear mounted Optima battery with heavy duty cables
I would not consider this a “project car.” It is very close to being completed. I would estimate another few months (max) of work would complete it. The doors, fenders and hood are just bolted on for pictures; they still need to be aligned. The car only needs:
  • Finish hooking up wiring
  • Glass installed (tinted glass included)
  • Door panels
  • Exhaust
  • Final paint
  • Install front end (have all pieces, most are new in boxes)
The car has a clear title and has been registered the past few years in NH (but obviously never driven). I am asking $35,000 for everything. The car is located in Southern, NH and is available to view for those that are seriously interested. Send me an email with any questions.
