First of all we want to thank everyone who was able to make it out on
Saturday!
It means a lot to us that you all take time from your weekends to bring your cars to our shop. It was a great pleasure to see so many awesome cars in the Hotchkis parking lot, and it was wonderful to be able to link the cars we see posted online to their drivers. We also had a chance to catch up with old friends and H-Team members.
For those of you who were unable to make it out we want to share some of the fun.
We had a total of 83 CAMAROS show up, which filled all of the parking in and around the Hotchkis facility!
The breakdown was -
19 First Gens
10 Second Gens
12 Third Gens
8 Fourth Gens
34 Fifth Gens
We were able to share the entire history of Camaros, all in one parking lot!
We even had a token Firebird representing our Pontiac cousins.
Before lunch, John Hotchkis gave tech talk which included all of the "need
to know" aspects about suspension and handling. For anyone who hadn't
thought much about suspension before, and even some of those who had, it's always nice to get reminded about the basics of Camber, Caster and Toe.
Following the tech talk, lunch was served, and the conversations around the tables ranged from Camaros to Camaros. You guys have a one track mind!
Throughout the talk and lunch more Camaros kept showing up, so there was always something new to look at . After lunch there was a raffle where we sent a bunch of folks home with car care products from Aero, new Hotchkis T-shirts and even a set of sway bars.
We want to extend a special thank you to the Camaro clubs that were able to make it out- Cool Runnin' Camaros, SC3G, The Cali Generals, and the Camaro 5 So-Cal Family! If you live in Southern California and haven't checked out the car clubs, you're missing out on some really cool people and fun.
Once again, a big thank you to the people who made it out and helped create this amazing event! We're already planning car cruises, track days and more open houses, so we look foward to seeing everyone at a Hotchkis event soon.
We have even more pictures posted on our
Facebook page, and we will have a post up on our news
site soon!
