Default What automatic tranny?

Just curious about an auto behind an ls, what are people running 4l60,65,70,80 or other, also what brand are you guys having good luck with GM,Bowler,Hughes,TCI or another? Would like to get one ordered for my car, just seeing what you experts are running Thanks.

i'd stay away from the GM units.
The trans should be able to hold up to your hp of the motor. if it is a factory motor with a few mods, then a 4l60e/70 should be fine.

I can tell you not to buy from TCI I've had nothing but problems with 3 of theirs. I've had very good luck with California Performance Transmissions, hands down the best trans I've ever owned.

I have a factory built 4l60e. new clutches, servo, bands, sunshell, tricks to valve body, shift kit,and bunch other goodies a buddy did for me. Lucky for me he owns his own transmission shop and takes pride in his work! Oh also billet Yank stall converter.
