Default Scotch-Brite Roloc clean & strip discs

Can anyone get me a case price cheaper than 3Ms cost? Don't know how many I'll need but I have to strip a 49 Fleetline and a 78 Malibu from top to bottom. Any recommendations on what size/color to use?

Use aircraft stripper and razor scrapers to start with, then use 180 on d/a paper then come back with your rolloc discs and what not. Check out you local swap meets for cheap consumables like rolocs

you definitely don't want to strip a car with those. Cost would be crazy. Chemically strip what you can, then clean up with with Rolocs. 3M are pricey, you can buy them cheaper through Brown tool online which are local to me, but they sell all over the world.

I get 30%+ off all 3M products through my local Sherwin Williams distributor.

I agree with guys above,Aircraft stripper will make the job alot cheaper and less chance of warping the metal

I should proofread my posts. I need to strip two cars and wanted to use some Roloc discs during the process along with using a DA. I just wondered if anyone could get me a better price on a case than what I've found online. And how many it usually takes during the stripping process.

I used 10 of the purple clean n strip discs to completely strip several layers of desert baked on paint from my 67 chevelle. I used the 4.5 inch ones that go on an angle grinder. They may be pricy, but work excellent without warping the metal or digging into the metal like a DA will. Also no worries of chemicals seeping back out later down the road. (unlikely but it does happen) They did strip it somewhat smooth, so I scuffed the bare surface a little before shooting SPI's epoxy primer on my car. Here they are on 3m's site. Havent tried the Roloc ones, so I cant comment on that. I stripped the jams and such with a cheapo sandblaster.
