a guy that lives near me has a real 289 cobra, a real gt 350,a factory five daytona coupe and a replica 427 cobra.the site of those things all together is awsum.we laughed at a show once when his real 289 car was parked all the comments about it being a kit car ect.i remember an article with shelby one time asking him what he regretted over the years.he replied that years ago when ford was done with there racing deal they gave him the remaining cars overseas.no one wanted to pay the freight back home so they left them there .i guess there were junked after that point.
