Steve Rupp's 5.3L LS Build
Where can I find details on the 5.3L that is on Steve Rupp's F-Quick garage site? I thought there was a thread on it, but I can't find it on this site. Any ideas?

Will the F-Body accessories bolt to the 5.3L iron blocks? I know the 6.0L blocks need a hole drilled for the alternator bracket, but I'm curious about the 5.3L blocks.

all the bosses are the same.. so anything that will bolt onto a 5.7, 6.0, 7.0 etc will bolt onto a 5.3L (and vice versa)
Makes picking a pulley system simple

just remember the iron blocks are not identical to the aluminum as far as front accessory drive bosses, though you can drill/tap enough holes to make most of the drive systems swap.

Sorry, this is true.. I don't work with iron so I forget.
All the alum blocks, including the 5.3L alum have the same bosses I believe.

I still cant decide which one to put in the Track Rat.. the 454 would be more fun but the 5.3L would stay with the spirit of the project (lower buck/midrange buck)
I want my next project to be really low buck, gritty, primered, light and cheap..
