Default Prodigy LSX L92 Carries The Mail!

Here are a couple videos of one of our Prodigy L92 Engine Packages.

We have these L92s available with a few camshaft options depending on transmission type, driving style, preference on total performance or total drive ability, etc.

We set this one up with the baby camshaft so the owner (the wife is really the owner) could enjoy driving it to work, cruise ins, they are not interested in racing, just good burnouts! It is a automatic so we did not want to much cam for someone not going to race it. We did not want it to lumpy in drive at the stop light.

On the dyno run we were having some transmission issues with the 4L65E pulling out pressure at 4500RPMs. The 4L65E transmission (built for a Avalanche / 1500 Pickup) is designed to pull pressure under extreme load (news to me)! So as soon as the transmission saw a bunch of torque, it thought it was towing a heavy load up a mountain and started pulling out pressure, UGH! So the dyno would freak out as soon as it started to slip. So we only got accurate readings to 4500RPM and then we would lose our readings. But even at only 4500RPM it already made 400HP at the tires and 370TQ and this is with a automatic sucking up 20% to 25% power! If the transmission were not slipping it would easily show increasing power to 5800RPM. So we are comfortably in the 500HP to 520HP at the flywheel. And this is with only a 228 @ .050 cam in a bone stock long block!

Of special interest for anyone wanting to witness converter stall. Watch the video at 22 seconds. The operator has the car right at 3000RPM steady before he mats the throttle. The tachometer is the top right gauge on the computer monitor. When he mats it you can see the converter flash as it jumps straight to 3500RPM then gradually climbs! Pretty cool demonstration.

The customer is going to have a high pressure spring put in the transmission. He does not really care about the big dyno number. We far exceeded his horsepower requirements and he knows it hauls ass. He is thinking this pressure release may just be a good Governor, LOL!

These are brand new L92s. We have 22 of these long blocks in stock. Complete with your choice of (3) different cams / springs packages installed, 3 bolt timing kit, NON VVT, for 500HP, 520HP and 540HP.

We have L92s available in long block or complete motors.

The long blocks (with cam and springs) are only $5200!

Add a intake and throttle body, coils, plug wires, for only $1000.

That is a lot of power for $6200!

Enjoy.

A little blast down the street on a Saturday afternoon.

They wanted something that would do burnouts!

Frank,

as you know I've ordered one of these engines. I/We haven't decided on which cam to use. Can you elaborate on the available cams? I.e. duration, lift and LSA?

FYI: I'm planning on running this engine in my 67 Camaro with (Fbody) T-56 and 3.42 limited slip 10 bolt.

I already have the GMPP E67 controller, can you also supply the appropriate tune?

Haven't mentioned this before but can you also help me with a set of Edelbrock motor mounts??

René

That is a Edelbrock mounts, step headers and exhaust system. We like it enough to stock those kits now. Excellent for a do it yourselfer that needs a true bolt together system.
