Default Thoughts on 68 Firebird

http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/cto/1692644598.html

Took a look at the car. The body looks OK overall except the rear pass side quarter. The guy has owned it since 1978 and it's been garaged a long time. My main concern is actually the alignment between the front bumper and the front panels. It just doesn't seem right. You can see it a bit in the fourth picture. Maybe this is normal? I don't recall this type of issue on my original 68. Also, I don't think it's a "great" deal, but it also doesn't seem far off considering what I want. Just looking for some other input if available on the car / price.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

It's hard to tell by looking at those pictures, but it looks about the same as my 67 was when I got it. Of course, I have not put it back together yet, so I do not know how much of a pain it will be to get everything looking right.

Pics are too small. Also in Michigan "Very Litte Rust" to some people means a lot of rust to others. Been there done that. Front panels are not that easy for some people to hang, but the front is the place where you have the most room for adjustment. So if they didnt hang them right you can probably get them adjusted.

Default bumper alignment

Something is off in the panel alignment. Take a look at the car in person and see. When I slam my hood (in anger) down sometimes when the hinges weren't snugged down well enough it would pull the whole thing right.

My bumper never looked like this though. Something isn't right, but I am not a body man.

Here's my Michigan bird. Angle isn't dead on like your pic is.

Here was my floor.
