So y'all are the one that bought Jay's car. Glad to see it go to a good home. One of my friends looked at this are as well.

I met Jay through one of my friends in South Haven. You may know him Marks Henry, he has a 69 RS/SS bigblock convertible with a 5 speed. Yellow car.

yup it's jay's old car! We originally did the paint and body on the car in a week for some reason he was in a huge hurry for it and had to have then it never got done! So I fixing a few things that weren't right on the car the front clip has already been resprayed, the roof is next.

69myway the car gets about 14mpg with the 20's and 3.73 with O/D so not bad.....we all know 1000cfm of carb is a little much for a 283ci, sure looks cool though and doesn't stumble or bog since I added the MSD ignition.

Default car

I believe that he was trying to make it to the show in Indy. I think Baer was going to put it in there booth to promote (at that time the new brake system) on the front of that car.

Then there was the thrash to make it for the power tour...that did not happen either.

I really liked that car. I thought the painted top was slick. I would be cruising it if it had been a convertible.

The painted top was our idea to Jay....it does look good. But kinda wavy.... so I am going to fix that this winter! We now have the interior finished and the vintage air installed. The real wierd sounding exhaust changed and some minor fitment problems worked out. It will probably visit a few goodguys shows next year if I don't get my chevelle finished in time!
