Default Marquez valance and front license plate

Just wondering if anyone has come up with a way to mount the front license plate with the Marquez valance? I was thinking of a flip down plate, but I don't think that will work with a front spoiler... thanks guys!

Yep, I'll be running Virginia antique plates, but since the car was originally designed for a front plate, I'll be required to run one...

I live in Virginia. Honestly they do not mess with me at all. If you live close to Washington, those communists give you crap about it, but everywhere else is cool. If you are running classic tags you do not have to run a front plate. I have been going around and around this issue with the military base gate guards (like they give a S***) so far they are the only ones who care. I have standard plates with an inspection sticker.
There is no way you run a front plate and not make it look retarded. My advice, roll the dice.

Thanks Serpa. I'm no where near DC, thank goodness. I've heard of some guys who have been given a hard time right outside of auto events and shows on this though. I might come up with some quick release bracket to keep Johnny Law happy. Ron

Also found this on Virginia's DMV page on antique tags. Bummer.

http://www.dmv.virginia.gov/webdoc/c...es/antique.asp

"Unless the vehicle was manufactured for one license plate only, you must display license plates on the front and the rear of your vehicle. "

Once you take it off. You can say that the car was built with one plate There will not be any holes or sign that there ever was one.

For me f them all.

If you are near emporia I was told johnny law was giving tickets to show participants leaving the show for burning out chirping tires and license plates. I have not had any issue. Will be interesting seeing what you come up with

toss it on the dash any time you think that youre going to have an issue (leaving car shows... etc). ive never run one on any of my vehicles here is southern california and ive been pulled over many times, but never was even discussed.

well...

I would claim ignorance and that you bought the car this way, and step around and say, "hmmm where would the plate go? I do not see indentations etc.. for a plate to mount to."

If he says it should be a spot there and it was modified, just say ahhh, I did not see any spot so I thought it was just like this on an old car, and thank the officer for the heads up.

That might work the first time...
