Default Which colors for LED backlit gauges?

So,
Here we go again, we need you input!
We are going to run some of these dials next week to see what we have. This is a new style based on our 1969 and 2020 series gauge sets. We want to take the look upscale while having a modern, performance look. Its a pretty clean design with the addition of our redline (the name of the series is Redline) and the spun metal perimiter on the dials.
We need some input as to which way to go with backlighting them at night.
We went with red bacause red is actually better for your eyes adjusting to at night. Red will not dialate your eyes as much giving you a better view back at the road, your eyes will need less time to adjust than most other colors. I remembered this from astronomy class, and it was right. We used red flashlights to look at charts to keep our eyes adjusted to the dark.

Thanks in advance.
Mark

Here is what they look like during the day:

Here is what we were thinking on the various lighting color combos:
Option 1: redline with white graphics

Option 2: red/white

Option 3:red/blue

Option 4:
red/white/blue:

I like the redline with white graphics. I think the contrast is good but not over powering. The white also stands out and to me is easier to see/adjust to at night with a quick glance to check the gauges than the blue.

Here is the artwork for the 6 gauge set. Working on the rest this week: a/f, oil temp, boost, etc...
My wife's VW has blue/red, looks good, but the blue is not bright enough

Hi Mark this is Trey. I've been emailing you about the 1969 gauges last week wanting to do the red changes to them for my 1979 TA. Obviously, I like red lol. I also like these gauges more than the 1969 gauges. Do you have an availability date and price idea yet on these?

Can you do all red including the numbers and can the brightness be adjusted or is it on or off only?

Thanks

Hey Trey,
We can build these any time. We are running a test set of dials to se how they look. As for custom colors, no problem.

I would have to go with #4 I like the fact that the numbers are really standing out in this one at night

Well,
Here is where we are at for now. Started with white and we can adjust from here. The gauges themselves have white and orange LED lighting to begin with. We can either add a colored layer or screen different colors on the back of the gauges.
Here are some pics of the prototypes:

Are the tach and speedo available in 4-1/4" as shown in the dimensionsal drawings on your website? How would these fit in a stock 68 camaro gauge cluster? Any chance you will have these available in 5"? Thanks and great looking product.

Yes
Working on the bigger sizes right now
The 4-3/8" gauges have an OD of 4-3/4 do they do fit in the 67-68 bezels. Working on the mounting for those right now.
Give us a couple of weeks and we should have everything ready to go
Thanks for all the input
Mark
