Default Tilt column

Hello guys,

I'm looking for a A-body tilt steering column / floor shift (my El Camino has a lot of play in the tilt system) ....
Tell me your price and shipping costs to CA.
Thanks
David

Not much help here but rebuilding them is fairly simple and not at all expensive.

If you have the tilt with the key in the column and it has play, the most likely source is the four bolts that hold the tilt mechanism to the column tube. On later models they are Torx headed, but on the earlier columns I think they are Phillips.

Get a manual, take your time, and be patient and they aren't that difficult to get to. Remove each, one at a time, apply Loctite, then reinstall and tighten it. Once all four are done, replace the upper column parts you removed and all is good as new!

Shiny Side Up!
