Default A fresh build out at the world of wheels

Well not a PT car, but a fun car to build. We finished up on Thursday night and rolled it out to the show over the weekend. The owner wanted a modern drive train but also wanted the car to look as stock as possible. There is a lot of fabrication you can't see, but one I will point out is the air intake system. We built it from scratch and think it blends in very nice to the theme of the build.

Enjoy,
Tim

Checked it out this weekend Tim and it was very well done - one of the best at the show ! Caught me off guard with the ram jet under the hood. The air intake immediately caught my eye - perfect (thought it was stock guys) ! Really enjoyed it and wished I'd have stopped and chatted with the owner.

I picked up one of your cards off of Vorpe's car, also wished I'd have seen you to catch up.

What color and manufacture made the carpet ? The green with black specks were perfect IMO - really anchored the insides nicely.

Well done !

Jim

PS, have you thought about replacing the AC cover with the version that exits the lines out the back of the cover ? I don't have a part number handy - but it really cleans up the visual and packages the lines down under and outta view better. If you haven't charged the AC yet - now would be a great time to replace it.

The little 64 plymouth up the isle was nice too - with something catchy under the hood. Bet they won't see that coming ....

And the Rat guys always have something to make you laugh !

Thanks Jim, THe A/C unit is one the cusomer supplied. The lines are run up behind the pasenger fender and then through the front of the inner fender. The heater core box was widened about an inch to tuck all the lines and heater control valve in behind the box. The A/C kit he provided would not have been our first choice. We cleaned it it up from what they had sent for installation.
I will have to check out the you unit you are talking about.
Oh yeah the carpet is from Car's inc. I think its manufactured by ACC. its a stock 59 set.

Tim the car looks great, When I was a kid my cousin had one black with a red interior, I always love those tail lights. Nice job on all of it, especially under the hood. It looks like it could have been original.Very Nice.

The 64 has been through ebay quite a few times for a very decent reserve, dunno if that is a new owner? Saw it at Columbus, one of my favorite "normal" cars there. Very understated, very clean, just perfect.
