Default West coast heavy rains and effects on BJ

It's Thursday morning and we're getting hammered with an extremely heavy rain here in San Diego and it's not suppose to let up until Friday night. So that's what Barrett-Jackson will be getting shortly also. I feel sorry for all the sellers that keep having to completely wipe down their cars(again) before going on stage as they're moved between the large tents. I'm thinking many of the high dollar cars have never even seen rain so I'm wondering what's being done to protect them(or not) while moving them around. I also wonder if the heavy rain will dampen the 'spirits' of the attendance and the bidding. I hope the place doesn't wash away before the sun comes out on Saturday and Sunday. It's pouring harder than I've ever seen it here. We should be seeing some major flooding and landslides soon. Suddenly that little Amphicar is looking like a great idea.

Westworld tore up and rebuilt the polo grounds (where most of the cars are parked) about five years ago to integrate better drainage. Barrett pushed them to do this after getting similar weather during the week that turned the fields into mush. Hopefully that will not happen again this year.

Many of the never-seen-rain cars are under the main tent, so they should only have to venture out (under tarps most likely) in the rain for a few hundred yards.

I'm starting to think my pool is going to overflow!!

That sounded like the year I went,it rained pretty hard and the fields were mush.
Consignors cannot be happy about this weather...

still pouring down. just drove by westworld and a couple of trees down on the road over here. I have lived in AZ for 16 years and I think I can count on one hand the amount of times I have seen this kind of prolonged rain.
