Default What's the best Hotel in Vegas for SEMA 2010

Yes I know it's early, but the hotels all have their rates up and I like to book early to get a good deal.
Cost is definately an issue, but I don't want to stay in a dump. Location wise, what is the best hotel on the strip to stay in?

BTW, I hope to make it out to a few parties this year as well!!!

A lot of us stay at the Flamingo every year...get a remodeled room though.
It's priced fair, well placed on the strip, and has a mono-rail stop...so getting to and from the SEMA show is fast and easy!

Monte Carlo is a good balance of service, luxury, location and price......

The last couple years we have found room rates way better the closer to the show as they panic to sell out. I would not book now for anything. last year we got the Wynn, very top floor, strip view for $100 a night. The year befroe got Venetian, strip view, $100 a night.

I use Orbitz and search flight, car, hotel packages and keep checking till I find something.

The Wynn kicks butt. That is a great price.

Venetian is pretty convenient too, they run shuttles from there to the convention hall because the APEX part of the show is there (sans convetrion center is connected to Venetian).

Plus the Venetian is nice and it made my wife happy.

That's crazy, since it has to be a penthouse on the top floor. Those rooms were going to well over 1k a night not long ago.

Right, I remember that from my trip in 06. I'll see what I can get at or near the Venetian. Last trip we stayed at the Monte Carlo, and it was fine, this time I'd like to see what else Vegas has to offer ... .

Where and how do I get to attend some of the parties?? I'm not a big industry player, but would really like to meet some of you guys in person.
