i doubt it was going 250 mph though.. it was barely past the 60 foot mark when it spun... cool pics, and one cool photographer though!

Back in "da day" -- I worked at Portland International Raceway.... that was '68/69/70/71... so "safety" wasn't as strict as it is now.. and I've seen my fair share of big wrecks and dodged a few flying parts (think, BEFORE blower straps!)... and when this stuff goes bad... there's no way you can react before it's too late.
Not trying to steal the thread -- but I'm also an internationally licensed pyro -- and I always love the scenes in the movies where the guys hear the bomb "click" and they start running and outrun the fireball... I got news for you... that ain't gonna happen! When it goes "click" --- you won't hear the boom... or see the fireball! LOL
