Default wheel flares??

Ok ive decided to drive the last nail into the coffin and make my bu unmistakably pro touring... ive found a couple of pics of old nascar malibus and ive come to teh comclusion that the "Charles Libby look" is just what my bu needs... but how do i do it tastefully?

first the inspiration :

then the wheels ive fallen in love with:

and the car they are going on....

flaring the wheelarches would allow me to drop it an additional 2 inches in the font, and 3 in the back, still not nascar low, but much much lower than

the tires would be 315/30-18 in all four corners, on 11x18 wheels centerlug

what do you guys think?

I like it. Then again I am a circle track guy at heart! Go for it. I'm just not sure of the wheels. You might need something different to go with the flares. Get someone to photochop it for you. Good Luck.

I like it too. And I think those wheels will look good on it, unique but good. The arches being flared correctly will be the key. If you do it wrong it might mess up the overall look you are going for.

I like it but the fenders & QPs have been cut and flared to get that stance. What about notching your frame in the rear and flaring the QPs to tuck those 315s? Then removing the inner fender wells and redoing the front suspension to get them to tuck in the front. I like where your going with this otherwise. Keep us posted.

Heres what we're doing. Chris Grey of Marquiz Design did the rendering. We are running 315/5015 up front and 325/5015 in the rear on 15x8 and 15x10 Aero Wheels. The flares will be massive. The wheel opening will follow the radius of the tire, however as you can see from the rendering. the original wheel lip '' shape" will be retained along the body so theres no mistaking its still a Nova.

Hmm I like flares but I like it when the quarter/fender is streamline.

Default Wheels may be too narrow for those tires

Hi,
I just got some 15X8 and 15X10 AERO wheels mounted for another one of my projects. The front tires that I used were 225/45-15 and the rears are Mickey Thompson Sportsman SR which are 26" tall 12 wide on a 15" dia. rim.
They fit perfectly. See Photo. I think with your tire sizes, a 15X10 front and 15X12 rear might be better...

Thanks for info, looks like a cool project. We already mounted tires and they fit fine. I researched wheel /tire fitment first to avoid any problems.
