Post your pics and links to inspirational fabrication work
I have wanted to start a post for a while where people could post pictures or links to fabrication work that has really inspired them. It can be race cars, trophy trucks, aerospace, just top notch fabrication.
This also means no self promotion, fab work that has inspired you.
I went to Tom Hanna's Shop this summer and saw his Bonneville streamliner project and his amazing cackle fest dragster.
Roger I have no pictures because they are all on this forum. But I have to say we have a bunch of great fabricators on this site .And without going into alot of names I have to say Gonzo (JCG) and Jason (WAR) have really got my attention with their fabrication skills. They are great guy's to talk to, and learn from!! And like I said their are many many more on this site, but these two in my opinion got it going on right now
Rodger I agree race dezert is one of my favorites!
I'm fortunate to be 15 miles from the SAC air museum, that has some killer displays of old radial engines! It's amazing the power those motors made 50 - 60 yrs ago...
I met Mark Bohlen thru a customer that had his 67 Pro Street Camaro plumbed before the car came to me for final body & paint.. We painted the 67 & car was in assembly & needed the final details for plumbing & was asked to work with Mark.. When I started going to Mark's shop I noticed that he just was not plumbing cars but also doing alot of custom fabrication work.. Looking @ his work inspired me to take our shop into the next level of what we could do other than just cutting & replacing body panels.. I saw the Cuda & payed careful attention to all his detail of how even the smallest pcs were hand fabricated! We are not yet @ the level of what Mark can do or some of the other fabricators in this forum but I have a big list of equipment we are buying for the year of 2010.. Here are some pics of what got me inspired to branch out & take our fabrication shop to the next level
