Default A reminder why bolt in cages are a bad idea.





Note the Cage sticking through the floor....


Cage didn't do much when it punches a hole through the floor.


Driver was OK but this is a simple reminder to not half ass or do 'temporary' measures when it comes down to your safety.

WOW!! I wouldn't think a cage like that would make it through tech, but I don't know jack about these things.

If it was welded in in the same manner and location, it would have done the same thing. That was very poorly installed regardless of bolted in or welded in. If bolts can hold skyscrapers together, they can hold a cage in a car together.

Look again. It's not even a cage. It's just a roll bar. I can't see through the doors, but I'd imagine it was just a 4 point. I wouldn't imagine it would do anything for support and safety in that sort of situation.
