Default "Pro Touring can kiss our butt"

What's up with that for a quote from Hotrod? January issue regarding the race rod 13.

Kinda ironic and I did laugh when I read that quote after all the car broke on the first corner of the Optima. (breaking is not funny but after that quote ha ha who's eating crow now?)

Why the dig on Pro Touring, maybe I'm reading to much into it or reading it wrong? Why does it seem they love to hate on Pro-Touring?

(sorry if it's old news, we get subscriptions late up North)

I wouldn't read too much into it.. just stirring up the pot a bit.

I was looking forward to spaking #13 on the autocross course.. guess I will have to do that at the editors challenge next year..

Jealousy, perhaps ??

I mean a true PT chassis can do more than take an engine swap for less than $2300, it can go in more directions than merely straight (HotRod builds cars that go straight. They dream of turning... but, cant seem to make it past turn one !?!! THE IRONY) and not nearly as egocentric as HotRod (insert: >>read Kinnan here<<) presents itself.

I still laugh at the thought of everyone on the wall as he drove by... and saying to themselves: "If he makes it past turn one... he's my new HERO."

Not to get too far off topic, but concerning Hot Rod, can they really make the claim "Where it all began"? That's a pretty bold statement, and perhaps they can in fact lay claim to it---I still have my subscription to it and this appears in every issue somewhere in it--usually on the cover or someplace obvious.

It even makes me nuts... maybe they are just upset that a pro-touring car wins the Editors Challenge every year...
