Default BIG thanks to Vegas69!! Sema was a blast.(stories inside)

Man.. what a trip. First the incredible luck of starting a minor camaro build to what it became.
Once we pulled our car out of the booth... it rolled through the convention center hallways nice and smooth. Sat in Vegas traffic for a good 45 minutes with no over heat issues. That was a relief. We were on our way to Vegas69's house. He was kind enough to let us check out the car and let it sleep there for the night. (having never met him... that was extremely cool). Well halfway there.. the rocker arms on the passenger side started ticking something nasty. We pulled over, bought some tools from the dollar store.. and started wrenching. Pulled the valve cover to find 4... yeah..4 poly locks cracked... and one almost backed all the way out.

We found some steel lock nuts to coble in there for the rest he drive. Limped the car over to Vegas's house... we decided to go ahead and d an alignment on the car to get it as straight as possible. To our disbeliefe... the ****!!*** control arms were loose as a goose. (we had just snugged them because the car was supposed to get an alignment the day it left...but never did) Whoa.... that was crazy. ALL the shims were gone exept the couple we found sitting on the frame. Wooops.

After some pizza and getting her pretty straight... we called it a night.
Today.. while a bunch of people were out racing cars at the Optima event.. me and brian were getting buzzed around town for hours trying to find poly locks and an axle seal.(thats a whole nother story..lol)
Met back up with Vegas(and skatinjay)... changed the locks...and took the gals out for some fun. Got on her pretty good for a bit.... went back to the garage for another valve adjustment... then had a blast shadowing Vegas through the mountain roads.

Now she is ready (i hope) for the 200+ mile drive tomorrow. Its been a great trip.. and it was a pleasure to meet a few of the board members. I had a great time shootin the breez with Greg and Anthony. Too stand p guys right there.

Vegas69... thanks so much for the hospitality.

We have a great bunch of guys in Las Vegas. Nice to hear that you where well taken care of and got to cruise with Todd a bit...he's hard to keep up with! It sure would be fun to make a run through the hill kind of cruise a yearly event! Maybe next year I'll be able to join you!

lol thats the truth... we cruised the lakemead route and he had me FREAKED out. he was going (no joke) 95mph through the real curvy section and it actually felt real stable and had quite a bit more in it.

but as far as on the straights go joshs ASP dc 69 pretty much kept up with payback on the initial test run... BUT come to find out the throttle butterfly was only a lil over half open.lol

but all in all i had a really kick azz time and it was great getting to hang with some really cool dudes like josh and bryan.
o yeah the car turned out SICK!!!!

I don't think the extra throttle helped him to much. That thing was like a nelson car. Spinning under full boost. No doubt that thing is laying down some insane power. I didn't even get my ride! Next time we'll keep it under 90. Who says a big block car can't handle. AJ's shorts may prove otherwise.
