Default g-body hook up

any of you guys good at rear suspensions i would like to get my car to hook better on the street using 10 inch tires i heard the g- bodys have a good factory 4 link and that they will bind up when you start making power. i have installed boxed control arms upper and lower the pinion angle is at 4 degrees but i was going to change to adjustable upper and i seen this kit you weld on to where the lower bars bolt to rear end that move the mounting point a couple inches lower but i read you want the lower bars some what level to the ground? and there are other items out there but who knows if they work im tired of spending money on things that dont work and i dont want to mini tube or add after market 4 link being twin turbo i fell this should be a easy task due to less power out of the hole. unless you drop the clutch.

The G body converging 4 link can have some binding issues but they don`t come into play much in drag race use. If your boxed upper arms have poly bushings in them they will be causing some additional unwanted binding though so adj. aftermarket arms with a spherical bearing at one end like Edelbrock or Currie would be a nice upgrade. The rest of the combination depends largely on what you`ve already got. Spring rates and heights,shock type,ride height (lowered?),both front and rear. Can you give us a little more info? Marcus SC&C

Default hook up

i have 6 cyl springs up front stock in back 90/10 shocks front and 50/50 rear the control arms have poly bushings not adjustable ran et streets before i also have air bags it use to hook good when i had less power but with the turbos and intercooler the front is alot heavyer i did add a pin on hood which helped alittle i will have to buy the better set up with the rod ends on them. and go from there.

Since it sounds like a purpose built straight line car you may also want to try a set of Edelbrock No Hop bars. They increase the amount of antisquat a great deal for better traction. Marcus
