Default Vintage Air............ good customer service

Since we get way more bad than good threads in regards to customer service, I figured it would be nice to post up a positive experience.

I bought a Vintage Air LS front runner for my Chevelle from Frank at GP Superstore (great price by the way ). It was missing a #10 inlet o-ring for the compressor. I didn't think it was any big deal, I'd just pick one up locally. Well, three stores later looking through every a/c o-ring they had I could not find the exact size needed. I settled on one that was very close, but it had a slow leak.

I called Vintage Air and spoke with George in customer service. I explained the problem, and he informed me that they buy the Sanden compressors direct from the manufacturer and they came with the o-rings; he did not supply that particular one (not a standard #10 o-ring at all). He could have left it at that and referred me to Sanden but he put me on hold and went back into his supply of compressors and found a returned unit with the o-rings still intact and in perfect condition. He put them in an envelope and mailed them to me.

Now it may not sound like a big deal, but I had tried to locate the proper one for quite a while with no luck and he could have sent me further on my chase, but he didn't. He also did not know who I was, or what site(s) I'm on, he just decided to help me out, and I really appreciate it. Felt like he and Vintage Air deserved props for their good customer service.

Good to hear. I've had many similar experiences. In fact, just today I got some of the best customer service I've ever experienced.

I had a similar experience. My VA kit was short on duct hose and they sent some out no questions asked when I called them.
