Default 69 Camaro Roll Bar install

Hey Guys,
Getting ready to install a Competition Engineering roll bar in my 69 Pro Touring Camaro. Of course it comes as a kit with a lot of triming to do. How much room should I leave between the top of the main hoop and the headliner? I was thinking around a 1/4 to 1/2 inch the most?
Thanks

As long as you have enough room to weld all the way around on your rear down bars you should be fine
