Default Help Me Choose A Red!! Please!!!

Alright after months of indecision and jumping back and forth about a color...I have finally chosen RED to paint my 68 camaro...

My buddy saw Brandywine by HOk but I think it's too marronish for this project, I would like a red that pops...I saw a HOK Blue Blood, which is a Bluish Red rather than a Redish yellow mix, that was supposed to be good..anyone have any pictures of this...or a red that you have on your car?

thanks in advance guys

Look at my thread about red...there are quite a few different reds. https://lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=22501

Here's another one from pro-touring.com http://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=59771 Part way down Fesler posted a bunch of cars that were all HOK blue blood.

The color I'm going with is HOK apple red...basically candy apple red. Here's a pic:

One of my favorite red's was Curtis' (Spiffav8) '67 Camaro. I can't remember the code, but out of all the red's out there, that one was my favorite.

Red is a hard color to choose. Good luck and let us know what you decide on.

It always seemed to me that people chose Viper red or Porsche Guards Red partially because it sounds cool.

A few years ago we were trying to pick out a red color for my dad's Pro Street Corvette. I had a shop spray out a few different reds, one of them Viper red and another was plain old GM code 74. A couple of years later I saw a 59 Cadillac at a show and asked the owner what red color it was. GM 74! I kept getting drawn to that particular red so I knew what mine should be when I painted it.

It is a nice rich shade of red that does not wash out and look orange in bright sunlight.

May want to check out several paint colors from Sherwain Williams Rod and Custom color booklet. They go by numbers not names(which I do not have). It looks like Boyd Red or the the red that is one the Ferrambo wagon. They have one that is a candy and also one that could be sprayed in 2 stage.

I'm doing my 67 Impala in Mini-Cooper Red(Non-Metallic).

I love metallic paint, but touch ups scare me...

Thanks Dave.

One of the reds that I like is Salsa Red that's on the new VW's. I also really like Boyd's red.

I'm with Jeff, I wanted a red that still looked red in bright sunshine against white stripes.
